Announcing ... SOZO!
Our new church launching on the Gold Coast, Australia in 2023.
After 15 years of church planting and pastoring in Japan - Yuki & I are so excited to announce that we are headed to the Gold Coast, Australia in JAN 2023 to pioneer a new Church - 'SOZO'.
Our heart's desire and calling is to live a life chasing the God-sized vision in our hearts - in Australia, Japan, and across the world - and our family is so excited for this next season.
The greek word SOZO means 'to save or be made whole' and Jesus uses it many times including Luke 19:10 'For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost'.
We feel that that SOZO perfectly matches our heart & vision of not just 'doing church' on Sundays, but 'being the church' - making a practical difference in our communities.
Our passion and joy is to see people living a full life while stepping into their God-given potential - whether that's in family, business, sports or academics.
SOZO is also the Japanese word for 'imagine' from Ephesians 3:20 'Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us'.
Our family is 5/6ths Japanese so we love the connection to Japan, and are excited for missions projects and to launch churches there in the future.
